Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has become a topic of discussion around the NFL in recent hours. The former Super Bowl champion had an easy transition from the field into the media, creating one of the most popular sports podcasts with his brother, Travis Kelce, “New Heights.”

As popular as he is on his show, Kelce hasn’t had the same impact on ESPN. He joined the network after retiring from the NFL after the 2023 season. In January 2025, the company debuted a late-night sports talk show hosted by Kelce.

A year after its debut, there won’t be a second season of “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce.” According to Sam Neumann of Awful Announcing, the retired center wants to explore different opportunities during the NFL offseason, taking his focus away from the show.

Despite not running it back with the late-night show, Jason Kelce remains under contract with ESPN. However, upon learning about the decision, fans went further and asked the company cut ties altogether with the 38-year-old.

“Another thing there was never a demand for in the first place is gone before most people even knew it existed,” one fan said.

“We are over Kelce’d so no big loss,” another fan wrote.

“Is it possible to be happy something is gone you had no idea existed to begin with ?” a third fan said.

“I do commend Jason Kelce that he knew he would have a solid 15 minutes of fame with his Super Bowl / retirement / Travis’s fame and he milked absolutely every single cent out of that period of time. Time to go now,” a fourth fan added.

“Usually I lie to make the person or thing less important, but as God as my witness I did not know this existed. Kelce fatigue is real,” a fifth fan wrote.

“Can we be all the way done with J Kelce,” a sixth fan said.

The Kelce family has been at odds with fans recently. Jason’s wife, Kylie, clapped back at fans for commenting on her body when she tried to give exposure to curling ahead of the Winter Olympic Games. Amid retirement rumors surrounding Travis Kelce, fans want Jason to call it a day with ESPN.
