Ex-Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim Exposed For Concerning Links To Alleged NFL Scam Artist Who Was Recently Found Dead In Swimming Pool

Former Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has been linked to a business venture run by Mohamed Coulibaly, a man recently accused of scamming professional athletes.
The connection surfaced after a Barron’s investigation revealed that Coulibaly’s company, Motion Ventures, convinced athletes to invest in Shopify stores that turned out to be a bust. Multiple former NFL players told the outlet they lost over $1 million combined in the deal.
The situation took a sudden turn this month when authorities found Coulibaly dead in the swimming pool of his New Jersey home. ABC7 reported that investigators are still looking into how he died. So far, police haven’t made any arrests or filed any official charges related to the alleged scam or his death.
Keim Featured In Motion Ventures Pitch Deck
Documents obtained by Pro Football Talk show that Motion Ventures listed Keim as its “chief operation/growth officer” in a November 2025 pitch deck. The presentation featured only two people in main leadership roles, Coulibaly and Keim.
The document described Keim’s role in helping guide expansion plans and evaluating new opportunities for the company. It also said he supported leadership decisions as Motion Ventures pursued growth in the United States and abroad.
Barron’s reported that Motion Ventures allegedly entered fake sales data into business dashboards to make online stores appear more profitable. One example involved a reported $5,000 order from Luxembourg for 100 desktop humidifiers and 120 USB-powered cup warmers. The person who lived at the listed shipping address told Barron’s he never placed the order.
“Who needs 100 humidifiers and 120 cup warmers?” the man said.
After the report appeared, Coulibaly challenged parts of the allegations. In comments to the New York Post, he said, “I strongly dispute a number of the factual assertions and characterizations contained in the Barron’s article and any follow-up reporting that relies upon them.”
The pitch deck also listed several NFL figures as notable clients and partners, including Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, other current and former Eagles players, Keim, and Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider.
Keim left the Cardinals in January 2023. He later joined Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Group in 2024 as general manager of its football division. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
