Chris Kluwe is getting hate again after calling Donald Trump, Republicans, and MAGA supporters “Nazis.” This time, his comments came after the US House passed a bill aimed at limiting gender-affirming care for minors.

Kluwe, who once played for the Minnesota Vikings, has made similar remarks before. In February, police arrested him at a city council meeting in California for civil disobedience. During that meeting, he delivered a heated speech and called the MAGA movement a “Nazi movement.” The incident later cost him his job as a football coach at Edison High School, where he had worked since 2019.

The latest controversy followed the House passing the Protect Children’s Innocence Act. The bill would make certain gender-affirming treatments for minors, including surgeries and puberty blockers, a felony. Doctors who provide those treatments could face up to 10 years in prison.

Kluwe reacted on the social platform BlueSky with a blunt post. “F*** every single one of these a**holes,” he wrote. “Once again, this is literally what the Nazis did.”

Kluwe expanded on his remarks in a statement to Fox News, where he defended the comparison and attacked lawmakers who supported the bill. “Trying to criminalize the trans community is literally step one from the Nazi playbook,” he said. He added that lawmakers should feel “f***ing ashamed of themselves.”

He also argued that Republicans ignore other threats to children. “If these cowardly culture war dips***s actually wanted to protect children they’d pass gun control and universal healthcare,” Kluwe said.

Fox News pushed back on Kluwe’s claims, saying there is no historical proof that the Nazi regime jailed doctors for performing sex changes on children. The outlet pointed to German doctor Magnus Hirschfeld, an early researcher in transgender studies, who fled Germany after the Nazis took away his citizenship. Historical records show Hirschfeld’s work involved adults, not children.

Kluwe, who is now running as a Democrat for the California State Assembly, is known for making strong political statements. In September, he also faced backlash after commenting on the assassination of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. He shared an interview with Sen. Elizabeth Warren and pushed back against claims that Democratic rhetoric played a role in the killing.

He later took aim at Trump again after the former president discussed “radicals” during a Fox News interview. “The man is a Nazi,” Kluwe wrote. “And every media organization worth the name should be calling him one.”

Those comments have once again put Kluwe at the center of a loud political debate, with critics accusing him of reckless language and supporters praising his style.
