Explosive Tell-All Book Reveals That There’s “Evidence No Fewer Than 70 NFL Games Have Been Fixed”

Many skeptical football fans firmly believe that the league actively fixes NFL games to maximize television ratings. These theorists argue that the league operates more like sports entertainment than a completely fair athletic competition.
To support these bold claims, fans frequently point toward highly controversial officiating decisions during crucial moments. They believe referees intentionally throw penalty flags to alter momentum and ensure specific high-market teams reach the Super Bowl.
Furthermore, the league’s recent corporate partnerships with massive sports betting companies have fueled these theories. Skeptics argue that multi-billion-dollar gambling interests provide a massive financial incentive to manipulate final scores.
Now, an old book from the 80s is making these skeptics even more skeptical about the possibility of fixed games.
The Deep Dark History: How a 1989 Book Blew the Whistle on 70 Fixed NFL Games

In a 1989 interview on The Pat Sajak Show, investigative journalist Dan Moldea discussed his book, Interference: How Organized Crime Influences Professional Football. The shocking presentation detailed extensive corruption, illegal gambling operations, and alleged mafia ties within the National Football League infrastructure.
The interview’s most explosive claim centered on the definitive statement that “evidence exists that no fewer than 70 NFL games have been fixed.” Moldea argued that the league adamantly hides these occurrences to completely protect its multi-billion-dollar public image.
Furthermore, he outlined how a legendary Midwest bookmaker, Don Dawson, personally admitted to fixing 32 of those games. Dawson reportedly worked directly with rogue quarterbacks who purposely failed to cover the point spread in exchange for money.
Moldea also detailed eight specific 1979 games allegedly rigged by two corrupt referees under federal investigation. He noted that “no fewer than 50 legitimate investigations of corruption” were subsequently killed by the league’s internal security.
“No fewer than 50 legitimate investigations of corruption within the NFL have been either suppressed or just flat-out killed as a result of a sweetheart relationship between NFL Security, which is the internal police force within the league, and a variety of federal and state and local law-enforcement agencies,” Moldea contends.
When Sajak jokingly questioned if he feared for his life, Moldea calmly dismissed any immediate personal safety concerns. He confidently stated, “No one’s tried to kill me in almost six years.”
