Dallas Cowboys fans are just like any fan base that comes across star players. They either want a picture, an autograph, or a souvenir. Such was the case when the team was in Seattle to face the Seahawks.

The Seattle Seahawks lost their 2026 preseason opener 17-7 to the Cowboys on Saturday at Lumen Field. Both teams rested their established starters, turning the game into a showcase for backups and rookies, where Camden Brown starred with two touchdown catches for Dallas.

Like any game, fans stood and waited for players to make their way towards the locker rooms. It’s the perfect time to get a souvenir. Unfortunately, a good deed nearly turned bad for one kid.

A kind action by Dak Prescott drew widespread attention online. Prescott handed over his hat to a young supporter as he made his way to the locker room at Lumen Field.

However, a woman standing close by reached out and attempted to claim the item for herself. The boy’s mother noticed the interference right away and stepped forward to protect her son. Strong emotions were displayed as the parent addressed the situation directly with the other individual.

“That’s mine. F–k no,” the kid could be heard saying. Meanwhile, the young fan remained at the center of the unexpected exchange. Eventually, the older lady released her grip on the cap.

“You don’t do that to my son,” his mother could be heard saying. A back-and-forth could be heard among the Dallas Cowboys fans as the excited kid played with the cap.

Dak Prescott Wants a Super Bowl

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has openly embraced a “Super Bowl or bust” mindset for the upcoming season.

Prescott is actively visualizing the championship by setting alarm clocks with the message. He also stated that his primary personal motivation is to have his young daughters remember him as a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. He certainly hit the gym this offseason.

Entering a pivotal point in his career with the Dallas franchise, Prescott has made it clear he is no longer shying away from vocalizing his ultimate team goal.

However, Prescott has a career NFL playoff record of 2–5. He has played all seven of his postseason games with the Dallas Cowboys, but has not yet advanced to an NFC Championship Game.

The Dallas Cowboys’ last appearance in an NFC Championship Game was in 1996.

Teams
