Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker James Pearce Jr. faces serious legal issues after a February arrest. The Tennessee product showed off his talents in 2025, before his off-field actions overshadowed his athletic performances.
A month after his arrest, following a dispute with his ex-girlfriend, WNBA star Rickea Jackson, Pearce showed up with a new haircut. A video shared by aggregator Dov Kleiman on Wednesday shows Pearce getting a fresh haircut.

While still wearing NFL gear, Pearce looked at himself in the mirror after the barber did his job. He used a towel to clean himself up in the short clip. The video drew over 355K views at the time of writing, and fans brought up his legal trouble in the comments.
Rickea Jackson Reportedly “Feared For Her Life” Before Filing For Protective Order Against James Pearce Jr.
While James Pearce Jr. went viral on social media, Michael Rothstein and Marc Raimondi of ESPN reported that Rickea Jackson filed a petition for protection against the Falcons linebacker. The Los Angeles Sparks guard claimed she was “in fear of my life,” adding that “James will kill me” if the court didn’t intervene.
Jackson filed notice with the court that she is willing to testify in a potential trial against Pearce. She said that the edge rusher “verbally and physically abused me on more than one occasion,” while threatening to kill, harm, injure, and put a bag over her head, according to court documents.
“The court granted her initial request for protection, and a permanent injunction hearing is set for April 21. Pearce is under order to not have contact with Jackson or come within 500 feet of her home or place of employment or 100 feet from her vehicle.”
The picture doesn’t seem that promising for James Pearce Jr. He was one of the best players on the Falcons last season, but many things suggest his career might be over soon.
