Tom Brady is everywhere on TV these days. The seven-time Super Bowl champion now works as Fox Sports’ lead NFL analyst. He calls the biggest games each week alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi.

However, football fans now see Brady in a different form. He has stepped fully into advertising. His newest Pizza Hut ad has gone viral and as usual getting a lot of hate.

Pizza Hut promotes its Big New Yorker pizza in the video. The company basically marketed Brady’s GOAT status. “The GOAT (Tom Brady) is back to remind you to Pizza before the Hut! Get the Big New Yorker for $10, only at Pizza Hut,” Pizza Hut said. The brand also joked, “No QBs were injured in the making of this commercial.” Brady looks relaxed and has fun with the role.

But not everyone liked it.

Many fans brought up Brady’s past eating habits. During his playing career, he was strict about his diet under the TB12 Method. He avoided sugar, soda, and junk food. He even once called soda “poison for kids.” Because of that, some people see his Pizza Hut deal as hypocritical, and that’s where the backlash started.

Fans Question Brady’s Sudden Change

Social media users wasted no time sharing their thoughts. Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin summed up the mood on X. “10 years ago Tom Brady only ate spirulina and avocado ice cream and called soda ‘poison for kids.’ Now he’s doing commercials for Pizza Hut,” Volin wrote.

Fans echoed that view. One user called the move a sharp turn from Brady’s old message. “It is a pretty sharp turn from the man who used to preach the ‘TB12 Method’ like it was gospel,” the fan wrote.

Others framed it as a natural change. “10 years ago he was an athlete, now he’s a spokesperson,” one fan posted.

Another comment took a personal angle. “Divorce is expensive,” the fan wrote, drawing laughs and debate.

Brady has not said anything publicly about the criticism. He continues to appear on Fox broadcasts each week.

Since retiring from the NFL in 2023, Brady has stayed busy. He began a 10-year, $375 million deal as a Fox Sports analyst. He also became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady has moved into business as well. He launched CardVault and is involved in several other ventures. In September, he took on a new role as Chief Innovation Officer at Aescape, a company that uses robotic machines to give massages.

Even in retirement, Tom Brady always remains in conversation.
