The Cleveland Browns axed Kevin Stefanski on Monday after six years and two Coach of the Year trophies. Shedeur Sanders started the last seven games at quarterback as a rookie, winning three of Cleveland’s five total victories. Then social media personality Dov Kleiman threw out an idea: Hire Deion Sanders as head coach and roll with his son under center.

Kleiman called it “the greatest head coaching hire of all-time” that would make Cleveland “finally be contenders.” Fans weren’t buying it.

Kleiman posted the take on X, and the replies came in hot.

One fan wasn’t convinced. “Complete disaster move. Deion has won nothing in college. He does not deserve the pro HC job.

Another questioned the logic. “They would win 3 games. The game of privilege over merit doesn’t work in the NFL.”

This user wanted proof. “Wha made yall think Deion sanders is a good coach lol????”

Someone kept it blunt. “Put the pipe down.”

One fan ranked the idea brutally. “There are dumb ideas.. Then there’s 50 feet of crap.. Then there’s this idea. It’s so dumb that I actually have confidence the Browns front office won’t fall for it.”

Another saw the circus coming. “They trying to win not become more of a circus.”

This take referenced Colorado’s record. “The team sanders coach stinks. But sure, it would be the greatest of all time.”

And one user mocked the Buffaloes’ bowl game. “Maybe they’ll almost win a meaningless bowl Game.”

Shedeur finished his rookie year with a PFSN QB Impact score of 56.9, ranking 46th out of 48 eligible quarterbacks. Only teammate Dillon Gabriel and Cincinnati’s Jake Browning scored lower.

Browns insider Tony Rizzo killed the buzz on ESPN Cleveland’s radio show Monday.

“I don’t think Coach Prime wants to come coach in the NFL,” Rizzo said. “He’s got health issues. I don’t think Deion’s the guy.”

Deion posted on social media less than an hour after Stefanski got fired. “We’re gonna make it! It’s 2026 & that means it’s a New Year therefore it’s time for New Things! A whole new mindset is warranted & must be established right Now!”

Stefanski’s already booking interviews. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday that the former Browns coach expects to meet with the Falcons, Giants, and Titans about their openings.

Rizzo predicted Cleveland’s next head coach will be someone without NFL head coaching experience. Just not the guy Twitter’s pushing.
