Fernando Mendoza hit Alysa Liu with a cheeky message via social media this weekend.
Mendoza, now a household name thanks to his exploits with Indiana, is heading into the NFL Draft. Experts have tipped him to go No. 1 overall this year, but he has a bit going on off the field.
The reigning Heisman took to social media on Friday, posting a photo of himself biting a ‘Fortnite’ crown. He tagged Liu in the post, asking, “Am I doing it right?”
Given the times we live in, this probably came across to some fans as the quarterback shooting his shot. However, Dexerto’s report makes it clear that wasn’t the case.
The athletes are both part of a competition with Epic Games, which publishes the popular video game.

Liu has since responded to Mendoza.
