Former NHLer Kelly Chase Tells Wild Story About The Time He Knocked Sean Payton Out Cold On The Golf Course [VIDEO]

Former NHL player Kelly Chase had a story about Sean Payton.

The duo frequently golfed together and frequently vacationed for several months a year. They are part of an exclusive group, often called the “Breakfast Club” at Gozzer Ranch, which includes other athletes and coaches.

Well, one of those golf-course outings got insanely violent, and it appears Sean Payton started it all.

Chaser was on the Ice Guardians podcast when he said they got into a debate over toughness in sports. The former NHL star asked, “Are you guys joking with me?” He says he was purposely stirring things up.

He told one other group that they didn’t count because they were baseball player. “I can’t watch those fights,” he said.

How Kelly Chase Ended Up Knocking Out Sean Payton

Chase then makes his way to Sean Payton and the NFL.

“And you football guys, you’re all hickeys and handjobs. You guys wanna wrestle. Who the hell wanna wrestle?” he said.

Chase then points to a current player and says he would kick the crap out of everybody here. He then says he jumped on his cart and left. However, it wasn’t over because Sean Payton wanted to prove a point.

The head coach began punching him and bumping him, saying he wasn’t scared of him. By the 14th hole, he had struck Chase over 20 times. Once Payton hit him in the ribs at the 14th hole, it was time to react.

Once he gets up, Chase says his wife got in front of him to stop things from going further. Once they got into a comfort station, he says Payton threw a punch that struck him in the neck.

Kelly Chase says he hit Payton in the nose and in the jaw and knocked him out cold. That is when Chase gets scared because Payton was out for a long time. Chase ended things by slapping him to wake the coach up. One thing we know about Payton is that he can hold a grudge. He certainly holds one against Russell Wilson.
