For the second time this year, Josh Jacobs is facing the reality of the NFL placing him on the Commissioner’s list.

Newly released police records from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department revealed more allegations. Additionally, it stated that three additional women contacted law enforcement to report historical domestic and physical abuse allegations.

Three women reported separate incidents of physical, verbal, and domestic abuse between 2021 and 2023. The NFL confirmed it is expanding its ongoing investigation into Jacobs to review these newly surfaced claims.

The NFL has spoken out, but what do the Packers have to say?

The Green Bay Packers are keeping running back Josh Jacobs on the roster. They anticipate he will remain with the team as the NFL reviews newly surfaced physical and verbal abuse allegations.

“We’re going to allow the NFL to do its process, but I would anticipate him being a member of us moving forward,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Monday. “That’s really all I have to speak on.”

LaFleur also spoke on the Jacobs’ alleged handcuffed celebration after scoring a touchdown.

The three-time Pro Bowler missed six games this season while on the commissioner’s exempt list following his May arrest. Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property.

Jacobs denied all of the new allegations in a lengthy statement from his lawyers on Sunday.

Since returning from the commissioner’s exempt list in Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season, Jacobs has scored three times. He only has 75 rushing yards, but has run in a score and hauled in two more.
