Some fascinating details have been leaked for the Super Bowl 60 coin toss at Levi’s Stadium.

The Seattle Seahawks will meet the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60, a rematch of Super Bowl 49. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. EST, with Grammy Award-winning rapper Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl halftime show.

Not only is this the milestone 60th Super Bowl game, but America also celebrates 250 years of independence this year. To commemorate America 250, the NFL will use a special Libertas Americana for the coin toss.

Benjamin Franklin helped create the Libertas Americana coin. NFL Vice President of Communications Brian McCarthy offered a close-up look at this special coin:

Per Iain MacMillan of Sports Illustrated, the Super Bowl coin toss has landed on “tails” 31 out of 59 times, and on “heads” 28 times. For what it’s worth, the Philadelphia Eagles lost the coin toss in Super Bowl 59, but easily defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

The Seahawks and Patriots had astronomical pre-season Super Bowl betting odds. This is one of the most improbable Super Bowl matchups in NFL history, and one of the clubs is about to complete an inspiring Cinderella story.

New England could become the first NFL franchise to win seven Super Bowls. But with a loss? They’d become the first team to lose six Super Bowl games. Right now, the Pats share the unfortunate record of five SB losses with the Denver Broncos.

The players and coaches have changed, but revenge is certainly on the mind for Seahawks fans as well. What a story it would be if they won the Super Bowl 11 years after their devastating loss to New England.
