Eli Raridon scored the first touchdown of the 2026 NFL season, and controversy would soon follow. While casual television viewers simply celebrated the early score, other fans looked much deeper into the official broadcast timestamps.

For instance, the game’s opening touchdown happened precisely at the 9:11 mark of the first quarter by the visiting team. A team called the Patriots scoring right at 9:11 means conspiracy theorists think it has something to do with the 25th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.

“The first NFL touchdown of the season was at 9:11 by the Patriots. THE NFL IS 100% RIGGED,” a post read.

New England Patriots star wide receiver A.J. Brown suffered a right ankle injury tonight during his highly anticipated team debut against the Seattle Seahawks. The injury occurred early in the third quarter when a defender landed awkwardly on his lower leg during an incomplete pass.

Quarterback Drake Maye dropped back and tried to connect with Brown on a quick slant route. However, Seahawks cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett broke up the pass and accidentally rolled over Brown’s ankle in the process.

Brown immediately stayed down on the turf while holding his lower leg in visible pain. Fortunately, he eventually walked to the sideline under his own power after being evaluated by the training staff. H

Unfortunately, Brown had to make his way to the locker room. Prior to exiting, Brown was a focal point of the offense, catching three passes for 26 yards.
