Ultimately, the investigation concluded this week. The outlet published its findings, officially declaring that Russini’s relationship with Vrabel was “noncompliant” and a clear violation of newsroom standards because it was never disclosed.
On the positive side, the inquiry found no evidence of explicit bias or reporting manipulation in her published work. That possibly leaves the door open for her to return to her career in the future.
