Jacoby Brissett Already Cashed In On Massive Bonus Worth Over Quarter-Million Dollars After Just One Week

Jacoby Brissett got paid for the win. Arizona beat the Chargers 26-14 on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. Front Office Sports posted the contract kicker that came with it.
Brissett earns $285,000 every time he plays at least 50 percent of the snaps in a victory. The clause caps at 10 wins. That is $2.85 million if he keeps stacking them. Week 1 already cleared the bar.

Jacoby Brissett Turns One Win Into A Bonus Check

He completed 27 of 37 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown, throwing zero picks and taking one sack. He added six carries for 14 yards.
Arizona opened as a heavy underdog. The Cardinals still controlled the ball for 37 minutes. Jeremiyah Love scored on a five-yard run. Trey McBride caught the late touchdown from three yards out. Chad Ryland hit four field goals.
That snap share was never in doubt. Brissett stayed on the field for the whole plan.
The deal is a one-year, $15.5 million rewrite he signed in July after a long holdout. The win bonus sits next to bigger targets. He can grab $1.25 million for 24 touchdown passes. He can grab $1.4 million for 3,500 yards.
One score and 277 yards do not cash those yet. The win clause did.
Mike LaFleur got his first victory as a full-time Cardinals coach. No Arizona head coach had done that since Don Coryell in 1973.
“A great game in all three phases,” Brissett said on CBS. “On the road, tough environment, it’s what you ask for.”
He also backed his new coach.
“He was great today. Me and him, I feel like we were in sync from play one. I’m just so happy for him. Nobody deserves it more than him.”

Jacoby Brissett Still Has Nine More Of Those Checks

The Cardinals won three games last year. Ten wins would max the clause. That is the whole point of the incentive.
Arizona already named Carson Beck the Hall of Fame Game starter in August. Brissett still opened the regular season.
He took over last year when Kyler Murray hit IR. He played well enough to keep the job and opening the door for Murray, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
On the other hand, Justin Herbert finished with 209 yards, one score and a pick.
Brissett called the road win a “whew” moment for a starting quarterback. The contract just said the same thing in cash.
