Jalen Hurts became the first NFL quarterback to reach a fascinating feat. It’s just not the historic first you want to make.
Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are aiming to clinch a fifth straight winning season in today’s ‘Monday Night Football’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers. A victory would push the Eagles closer to securing the NFC East, as the 6-6-1 Dallas Cowboys lost on Thursday.
But the first half of Monday’s game couldn’t go much worse for Jalen Hurts. The Super Bowl 59 MVP turned the ball over three (!) times in the first half…including twice on one play in this wild sequence:

Jalen threw an interception and fumbled the ball in just one play.
This is something we may never see again.

When it rains, it pours, right Eagles fans?
Hurts entered this game with a 66.1 completion percentage for 2,515 yards, 19 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 103.9 passer rating, per Pro Football Reference. However, he only has 329 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Things have reportedly been ugly behind the scenes in Philly, with Hurts and A.J. Brown not seeing eye to eye. If that doesn’t change soon, the Eagles’ Super Bowl title defense won’t last very long.
