New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston is a national treasure. He’s one of those players in the league that no fan base dislikes.
This past season, he stole the show after catching a pass, shedding a tackle, and running for a touchdown. When he’s not throwing or catching passes, he has a strong way with words. His first start for the Giants proved that when he was mic’d up.
Winston is back going viral this week with what he revealed about his sex life. Back in 2019, Winston was in the midst of trying to get another contract with the Tampa Bay Bucs. He needed a tremendous season to make it happen.
That led Jameis Winston to make a huge decision that season that would affect his wife.
Jameis Winston Cut Off Sex From His Wife
The Giants quarterback revealed something personal on Wednesday’s episode of the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast. He said that during his 2019 campaign with the Buccaneers, he was playing for more than just a new contract.
During that period of time, Winston said he and his now wife, Breion Allen, withheld from having sex. He revealed that he gave up sex for a year as a way to hold himself accountable off the field. Winston told the Kelce brothers he was having “one of the most up-and-down years off the field.”
That was because he had just “asked my wife to marry me and I was doing this freaking celibacy thing.” Winston said his parents “would talk to me about shacking.” That is a term used to refer to a couple who live together before marriage, “and I was like, ‘We have to eliminate that’” because it would make his celibacy vow tougher, he said.
“So I literally bought a property and stayed away from my house,” added Jameis Winston.
In March 2020, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
Unfortunately for Winston, his career with the Bucs would end after that 2019 season. Not because they didn’t want him back. It was because Tom Brady decided to join them and win the Super Bowl.
