Jarrett Stidham Reveals Who’s To Blame For The Broncos’ Ugly AFC Championship Loss To The Patriots [VIDEO]

The Denver Broncos had all their hopes in Jarrett Stidham to possibly send them to the Super Bowl. He started his fifth NFL game under extraordinary circumstances. The six-year veteran took on his first team in the league, the New England Patriots, with the chance of advancing to Super Bowl LX on the line.
He was forced into this position after Bo Nix went down with an injury following their AFC Divisional round victory against the Buffalo Bills. While Denver had a chance in Sunday’s AFC Championship game, they dropped a 10-7 crusher to the Patriots at home in the snow.
The Broncos struck first in Sunday’s game, with Stidham connecting with wide receiver Marvin Mims on a 52-yard pass. Stidham ended the day by completing 17 of 31 passes for 133 yards, one touchdown, and a late interception.
He never really could get his footing after the snow began to fall.
New England will face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 2026. The big game kicks off from Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 8. In the meantime, Jarrett Stidham knew just who to blame once the contest was over.
Jarrett Stidham Blames Himself

Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham found himself in rugged waters against a stout Patriots’ defense. The 29-year-old backup was shoved into the starting lineup for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. He looked like a career backup with his play.
The excitement of a potential Super Bowl trip was lost in the swirl of a second-half snowstorm and the Patriots’ defense. Following the game, Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham owned the blame. He made a crucial mistake in Sunday’s AFC championship loss to the New England Patriots.
Stidham fumbled in the second quarter while trying to get rid of the ball. He tried to find a receiver, but it was ruled a backward pass. That set the Patriots up to score a touchdown.
“Obviously, I can’t put our team in a bad situation like that,” he told reporters. “I can’t put the ball in a position like that, so that was completely on me… I thought I had thrown it forwards… probably should’ve just eaten the sack.”
“Probably should’ve just eaten the sack anyway.”

The Patriots would make a field goal in the third quarter. That proved to be the decider as both teams went scoreless the rest of the game.
