Marissa Ayers just wants to give her boyfriend all the support he needs.

The couple first connected in October 2025 during his rookie NFL season. Before going public, popular influencer Alix Earle was briefly linked to Dart in social media rumors, but that speculation was quickly debunked.

The couple went on their first official date in New York City, which included dinner and a Broadway viewing of The Great Gatsby. Ayers supported Dart from the sidelines at Gillette Stadium during a Giants game against the Patriots, where she was spotted hanging out with Dart’s mother.

Marissa Ayers officially confirmed the relationship on Instagram by posting a photo captioned, “Rumor has it… @JaxsonDart.” Now, for the first time, she is receiving backlash.

This month, Marissa visited Dart during the official Giants NFL training camp in East Rutherford, New Jersey. A brief on-field photo of the couple kissing sparked intense fan criticism online, with some calling her a “distraction.”

In response, Marissa Ayers used her personal TikTok account to explain the true purpose of the designated family visits.

“This week [at training camp] it’s just a little more intimate, so, family, girlfriends, [and] wives… Because I’m seeing comments, and it’s like, ‘Why are the girlfriends there?’ It’s to bring the families together. It just kind of gives everyone a chance to meet, hang out, and bond, and just be a part of it. The kids can go and see their dads, it’s so cute,” Ayers said, via the New York Post.

She clarified that the team schedules these special days specifically to bring loved ones together. Furthermore, she emphasized that the athletes remain entirely focused on their demanding professional playbook.

“They basically practice for 2-3 hours, and you see the players for maybe like 10 minutes… and then they’re back in meetings for the rest of the afternoon and night. It’s not like they’re hanging out. Trust me, they’re locked in. It’s a chance for us to be supportive before the season. Just so much hate online and negative commentary around players.”

Jaxson Dart put together a highly encouraging rookie season with the New York Giants in 2025. That was despite an injury-plagued supporting cast. However, his aggressive style of play led to multiple injury scares and concussion protocols.

Entering the 2026 season under a completely overhauled coaching staff, his outlook remains that of a potential franchise breakout quarterback. Things have already started badly for him.

Dart cleared concussion protocol after a scary hit in the 2026 preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings. He threw a touchdown pass on his very next play. This marked his sixth career visit to the medical tent.

The Giants traded back into the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft to select Dart 25th overall. Hopefully, they can keep him out of harm’s way.
