Jayden Daniels’ mother is not going anywhere.
The Commanders quarterback is getting set for an all-important third season in the NFL after an injury-filled second year. He is entering what could be a huge contract year.
Every player needs an agent who is always on the lookout for his best interests. Whenever you see Jayden, his mother is not too far behind. That has caused a ton of backlash over the years. Fans have been weirded out by how she is always around him, especially when he is talking to women.
Regina Jackson has made it clear that she is trying to protect her son from women who are trying to take millions from him. Jackson has been at her son’s side at times when you might not expect to see a mom. Now, she’ll be around even more.
Jayden Daniels Makes His Mom His Newest Agent

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels names his mother, Regina Jackson, as his sole NFL agent ahead of potential 2026 extension negotiations. Pointed out by Ben Standig, Jackson is now listed as the lone representative for Daniels on the NFL Players Association website.
Through his first two seasons in the league, veteran agent Ron Butler served as the former No. 2 overall pick’s lead agent.
“According to the NFL Players Association website, Regina Jackson, Daniels’ mother, is now listed as the lone representative for the Commanders quarterback — a notable development as the former No. 2 overall pick moves closer to eventual contract negotiations that could make him one of the highest-paid players in the league,” Standig reported.
“Veteran agent Ron Butler served as Daniels’s lead agent ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft and through his first two seasons. The NFLPA website lists the current agents or representatives for all players in its system.”
Jackson became a certified NFLPA contract advisor during her son’s rookie campaign. In that year, Jayden Daniels was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and led the Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991.
The move comes as Daniels will become eligible for the first major contract extension of his pro football career after the 2026 campaign.
Daniels’ frustrating sophomore season took a final hit when he was forced to leave the game against the Seahawks with a significant injury to his left arm, his third injury of the year. His left elbow was bent in a position where arms are not supposed to go.
He would play one more game before his season ended.
