Jerry Jones Releases Concerning Injury Updates That No Cowboys Fan Wants To Hear

Jerry Jones has more problems to deal with after the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Cowboys already entered their Week 3 game with four defensive players inactive. They then lost more players during the game.

Defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard and cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. both suffered injuries against Baltimore. The latest updates from Jones now give Dallas even more reason to worry about its defense.

Jones spoke with 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday and shared updates on both players. The Athletic’s Jon Machota reported Jones’ comments.

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan said DT Jonathan Bullard is out 3-4 weeks. CB Shavon Revel could be a multiple week injury, but they’re not sure at this point,” Machota wrote on X.

Bullard joined the Cowboys this season and has recorded three tackles, two quarterback hits, and half a sack. His absence could hurt a defensive line that already needs more production.

Revel, a 2025 Dallas draft pick, has made a bigger impact in the secondary this season. He has nine tackles, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery through three games.

The Cowboys now need to find answers while several defensive players deal with injuries. Defensive coordinator Christian Parker also has to fix a unit that has struggled through the first three games.

Dallas ranks 30th in total defense, allowing 387 yards per game. The Cowboys rank 31st against the run at 179.7 yards allowed per game. They also allow 27.3 points per game, which ranks 25th in the league.

The pass rush has not helped much either. Dallas has recorded only two sacks through three games.

The Cowboys went through this exact same headache last season. Their defense was one of the worst in the entire league and gave up more passing yards than anyone else.

Now, Dallas might have to lean on Dak Prescott and the offense to bail them out all over again. The run game has looked a bit better, but everything still runs through Prescott.

Jerry Jones might also look outside the team for a fix. Reports say Dallas has its eye on Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr., and with all the recent injuries piling up, Jones has even more reason to pull off a trade.
