Jerry Jones did all he could, and it still didn’t matter in the end.
The Eagles were falling. Several wild-card teams were losing. All the Cowboys had to do was win the games they needed to get into the playoffs. Now, it’s all but over for America’s Team.
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Minnesota Vikings in a pivotal game for their playoff hopes in the NFC. The team seemed to have lost everything before the trade deadline. However, Jerry Jones wasn’t letting this season die. He acquired defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson.
These trades came after he sent Micah Parsons packing to the Packers. From that point on, the Cowboys won three straight games. However, the margin for error is gone. A loss to the Minnesota Vikings has them on the brink of elimination. It has essentially ended their dream of contending for the Super Bowl.

The Dallas Cowboys entered Week 15 to boost their slim playoff chances. They failed. The Minnesota Vikings were the ones who exposed the team once again.
Jerry Jones’ team delivered another disappointing defensive performance. They allowed struggling quarterback JJ McCarthy to slice them up. The Vikings managed to score 34 points, severely damaging Dallas’ postseason prospects.
Many Cowboys fans stayed in their seats at AT&T Stadium to watch the season go up in flames. The team owner was not going to do the same. Jones and team executive vice president Stephen Jones exited the box before the game ended. They reportedly headed to the locker room.

This is a defeat that leaves the Cowboys in a tough spot. The team was just 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles won on Sunday. They secured a convincing victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Cowboys will now have to win out in order to make the postseason. Also, the Eagles will have to lose all three remaining games. Dallas’ only shot at reaching the postseason is to win the division.
