Joe Buck and Troy Aikman openly joked about one of the most-talked-about NFL conspiracy theories on ‘Monday Night Football’.

The league has long been said to have a “script.” That is to say that Super Bowl teams and winners are decided before the first ball is kicked every season.

There are a few reasons for that. First off, there’s the questionable officiating. Then there’s the fact that the colors dominating yearly Super Bowl signage mostly seem to match the colors of the uniforms of the teams that end up playing.

Football could be a lot like pro wrestling. And you will find fans just about everywhere who believe that a script is one thing they have in common.

However, it’s also become a bit of a running joke among higher-ups. Even Roger Goodell has joked about it in the past.

If the commissioner can make script quips, why shouldn’t Joe Buck?

As seen in the clip below, Buck asked Troy Aikman whether he’s seen the script live on ESPN. He then asked whether he knew who would be playing.

The exchange led to a bit of awkward laughter.

They’ve definitely seen it…
