The 2026 NFL season just started, and there’s already some drama. In addition, Giants head coach John Harbaugh is already not in the mood, even if his team won’t play until Sunday night.

While the New York Giants aren’t widely viewed as a contender for the Super Bowl this year, they will at least be competitive. That’s why they brought in Harbaugh in the offseason. He’s a no-nonsense head coach who demands accountability from his players.

And the same accountability has already spilled to the media covering the team this season.

With the season already underway, the pressure for the Giants to win their showdown against the Cowboys is high. They want to start this season on a winning note.

However, when pressed by the media about his game plan on ‘Sunday Night Football’, John Harbaugh went on a lengthy tirade during his team’s press conference.

“I’m not going to tell you who is playing in the game. I’m not going to tell you who is starting, what package we have in, what play we’re running,” Harbaugh said to the media.

He continued, “I’m not going to tell you any of that. So we can make it great and have a great press conference, or we can make it uncomfortable. I’m not going to tell you because what you know, the Cowboys know, and every other team knows. That’s not in the competitive interest of our football team.”

“I think you can respect that,” he concluded.

Word around the training camp of the New York Giants wasn’t too positive. The veteran coach already had some brushes with the team’s QB, Jaxson Dart.

According to reports, Dart has received some criticism coming from Harbaugh. It was not just the team’s quarterback who was getting the John Harbaugh treatment.

Cam Skattebo also drew the ire of the new Giants coach. After years in mediocrity, it looks like the team is seriously trying to turn over a new leaf in 2026.
