Josh Allen helped the Buffalo Bills to a 2-0 start Thursday night with a huge win over the Detroit Lions, and he has been the topic of discussion for various reasons after that. Now, it’s getting more interesting.

The Bills broke in the New Highmark Stadium with a 41-31 win. Allen played well, completing 20 of 31 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns, plus 69 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground.

After the game, Allen hopped on Prime Video’s postgame show with Andrew Whitworth and the rest of the crew, where Richard Sherman dropped a detail that got fans buzzing in no time.

Fans Question Josh Allen’s Postgame Appearance

Sherman said Allen felt sick before the game. The former NFL star claimed Allen spent time “shivering in a hot tub” and received IV treatment from the Bills’ medical staff.

Allen did not confirm or deny Sherman’s comments. Still, the suggestion that he may have played while dealing with the flu led to questions about his decision to appear on the postgame show.

Some fans called the move selfish because Allen sat close to several people during the interview.

“Has the flu which is super contagious, but plays a contact sport for 3 hours AND is sitting right next to multiple people during this interview. So either he has the flu and is a selfish a******, or he and his PR team are lying and hes just a disingenuous a******,” one fan wrote.

Another fan also questioned Allen’s decision.

“Had the flu so bad that they…. Sat right next to him in a post game presser?” the fan said.

A third fan took an even stronger view of the situation.

“He is playing through the FLU and then sits right in the middle of the Prime crew. Doesn’t sound very smart. If he really has the FLU they are all about to get it. What idiots,” the fan wrote.

Allen did not address the flu claim during the postgame interview. He instead spoke about how much the night meant to him after the Bills opened their new stadium with a win.

“I caught myself taking it all in an understanding how cool what I get to do. My job is the coolest in the world,” Allen said. “It’s everything I ever wanted, to be the quarterback of an NFL franchise. I’m just very fortunate to have ended up in Buffalo.”

Allen could address the health rumors when he speaks publicly next.
