Former Fox Sports host Joy Taylor is the latest to give her take on Jaden Ivey.

The Chicago Bulls have waived former top-five NBA draft pick Jaden Ivey for “conduct detrimental to the team.” Normally, this wouldn’t be huge news, but it came after Ivey posted a nearly hour-long rant on Instagram on Monday. He shared anti-LGBTQ sentiments, among other remarks.

Ivey has posted several lengthy rants on social media over the last few days, sending social media into a frenzy. In his most recent post, Ivey discussed how the NBA’s celebration of Pride Month is “unrighteous.”

In that same video, Ivey shared how listening to certain music is “wicked” for lyrics about drugs and sex. Jaden Ivey had just gotten to the Bulls. He was traded to the Chicago Bulls from the Detroit Pistons at the February deadline. However, he played just four games before being shut down for the remainder of the season on March 26 to continue rehabbing from left knee pain.

Now, Joy Taylor has something to say about his release, his words, and Christians as a whole.

Former Fox Sports commentator Joy Taylor launched into a fierce rant at ex-Chicago Bulls guard Jaden Ivey after his anti-LGBTQ remarks.

The fallout of his release quickly turned him into one of the biggest talking points in basketball. Taylor made it clear she saw hypocrisy in Ivey’s public stance.

Speaking in a clip shared by Speak on Instagram, Taylor did not mince a single word. “Captain Christian has arrived to save us from the gays! Hallelujah! Lead us to the light!” the caption on the post said. You can see that video here.

She wasted no time calling out Christians for their hypocrisy on the matter.

“Are we gonna gloss over the fact that he said he abused his wife? Are we going to ignore the fact that he’s openly judging other Christians’ faith?” Joy Taylor asked.

“… No one is ever as Christian as the best Christian is. ‘I’m a better Christian’ is always the best. Captain Christian is always a hypocrite,” Taylor added.

“My thing is, Christians are always looking for Captain Straight man. Captain Marty,” Joy Taylor said. She then went on to make a mocking voice while saying, “Look at this beautiful Christian man. Just standing up for what’s right. He’s being persecuted for his beliefs,” she said as she flipped her hair.

Her criticism focused less on the team’s decision itself and more on what she viewed as a contradiction between Ivey’s public preaching and his past admissions.

It is unclear whether any team will take the chance on signing Jaden Ivey in the future.
