Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and pop singer Madison Beer have taken the next step in their relationship. The couple announced their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing the news through a series of lovely photos.
Beer revealed the engagement with the caption, “Meet my fiance.” The post has four photos of the couple kissing, hugging, and smiling together. One picture also showed the engagement ring on Beer’s left hand. This great news came nearly a year after the two first started dating.
People first started noticing Herbert and Beer together in August 2025. Photographers caught Herbert visiting Beer while she was working on a photoshoot or music video in LA. They were chatting and laughing on set, and then they left together. A few days later, they were seen heading to a friend’s house in Redondo Beach.
A Relationship That Grew In Public
The couple became more visible over the following months. In September 2025, photographers captured them holding hands during casual outings. A month later, cameras caught them sharing several kisses on the sidelines of SoFi Stadium before the Chargers’ game against the Washington Commanders.
From there, Herbert and Beer appeared together at Lakers games, a World Series game, Chargers Halloween events, and other public outings.
Even though Herbert is usually a pretty private guy, he opened up about their relationship this year. For Beer’s birthday in March 2026, he posted a sweet Instagram story, calling her his “favorite person” and saying he was the “luckiest guy alive.” She replied that it was her “dream come true.”
They made things Instagram official in April 2026, and Herbert even starred in her “lovergirl” music video, where they just hung out at the beach and played cards.
Beer has also shared her thoughts about marriage in the past. She said she wanted a traditional engagement ring because she was “basic with certain things” with certain romantic traditions. She has also praised Herbert for supporting her career, including attending her Locket Tour and her headline performance at the Kia Forum.
Congratulations to the couple, while Herbert will now focus on his seventh NFL season with the Chargers.
