The Kansas City Chiefs were one of the biggest disappointments in the 2025 NFL season. Coming off another AFC championship in 2024, they entered the campaign eager to get revenge on the Philadelphia Eagles.

As soon as the season started, the alarms rang for Andy Reid’s team. The Los Angeles Chargers beat them in Week 1, before the Eagles took them down again in Week 2. After a 6-11 finish, the Chiefs have several questions to answer. While they look for ideas to bounce back, the roster overhaul began.

They have been linked with intriguing stars this offseason, including Tyreek Hill, recently released by the Miami Dolphins. The team has worked to give their players the best of the best, including in the weight room.

The Chiefs added a secret weapon that could give them an edge in the 2026 season.

On Feb. 7, Cooper Mitchell, famous for reviewing garage and home gyms, shared a video inside the Chiefs’ weight room. He showed an adjustable weight bench that allows the user a greater scapular moment during presses. Mitchell ended up so impressed that he said he ordered one.

Kansas City will need more than a new weight bench to challenge the top squads in the AFC. They are back in line after a disappointing season, and the front office must bring the right piece to put them in position to contend.
