The Kansas City Chiefs have addressed the disturbing allegations against wide receiver Rashee Rice, whose ex-girlfriend accused him of domestic violence.
Dacoda Nichole and Rashee Rice had two children together during their relationship. On Wednesday, Nichole took to Instagram and accused Rice of domestic violence during their relationship.
Nichole posted several photos of the injuries and bruises she suffered, as well as damage to their home, allegedly caused by Rice. She claims that Rice attacked her while she was pregnant and even locked her outside of their home after she discovered he was cheating on her.
Per KMBC’s Nick Sloan, the Chiefs gave the following statement on the allegations against their second-year receiver:
“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time.”
It’s not too soon to wonder if this could be the end of Rice’s tenure with the Chiefs.
During the 2018 season, a video surfaced of Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt (then in his second NFL season) shoving and kicking a woman. He was released by the Chiefs soon after the video was released. We’ll see if they end up taking similar action against Rice.
Rashee Rice Had Two Legal Incidents In 2024

The NFL suspended Rashee Rice for the first six games of 2025 due to his involvement in a hit-and-run in Dallas on March 30, 2024. Rice was also sentenced to 30 days in prison and five years’ probation.
Then, in May of that year, police opened an investigation against Rice. A photographer accused Rice of assaulting him in a Dallas bar. However, the photographer declined to press charges against the 2023 second-round pick.
Rice was a key part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 58 championship team in his rookie year. Availability has been an issue ever since. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4 of the 2024 season. The six-game suspension and injuries limited Rice to eight games in 2025.
