Kansas City Chiefs Steal 24-Year-Old Buffalo Bills First-Round Pick

Amid a busy offseason with several departures and a couple of solid additions, the Kansas City Chiefs haven’t stopped adding talent to the roster. The AFC West franchise added star running back Kenneth Walker III and re-signed Travis Kelce for at least one season to contend for Super Bowl 61.
While some players returned and joined the squad, several left. Their defense suffered some changes. They lost Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie, making the secondary a key focus point for the remainder of the offseason.
On Thursday, general manager Brett Veach addressed that issue and landed an intriguing cornerback.
Kansas City Chiefs Land CB Kaiir Elam
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported on Thursday that the Chiefs agreed to terms with cornerback Kaiir Elam.

The Buffalo Bills picked Elam with the No. 23 pick in 2022. After spending the first three seasons of his career with the Bills, Elam was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. Elam finished the season with the Tennessee Titans.
In 43 games, he has recorded 114 tackles, three fumble recoveries for nine yards, two interceptions and eight passes defended. At 24, the Chiefs could help him revive his career while they try to return to the Super Bowl.
