Kid Rock responded to people who criticized his performance at the All-American Halftime Show. Some viewers accused him of lip-syncing during the Turning Point USA event. He denied those claims and said they were not true.

Fans on social media started questioning his performance after he sang his hit song “Bawitdaba.” Some people felt his voice did not match his stage movements. Others believed he forgot some lyrics. The talk online quickly turned into a big controversy.

Kid Rock spoke about the issue in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News. He said he performed live and blamed any problems on technical issues during the broadcast.

He told Ingraham his DJ planned to rap the song with him. He said the production team struggled to sync the audio and video correctly. “I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, ‘You guys gotta work on that sync. It’s off.’ So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult,” Kid Rock said. He added, “It was very difficult for the Turning Point production crew — who, by the way, I can’t say enough good things about — but this was very difficult for them.”

The singer did not stop there. On Tuesday afternoon, he took another step to prove his point. Kid Rock posted a video on social media from his own house. The clip showed him performing “Bawitdaba” live with his DJ.

He used the video to explain exactly what went wrong during the halftime show. “My halftime performance was pre recorded but performed live,” he wrote online. He repeated his claim by saying, “No lipsycing like the haters and fake news are trying to report. When they synced the cameras to my performance on Bawitdaba, it did not line up as I explain in this video.”

The All-American Halftime Show tried to rival Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance at Levi’s Stadium. Turning Point USA organized the event and made Kid Rock the main performer. Gabby Barrett, Lee Brice, and Brantley Gilbert also performed.

The show did well online. More than six million people watched it at the same time on YouTube. That is a big number for an online event. However, it is still much smaller than the audience for the official Super Bowl halftime show.

Recent halftime shows have attracted huge audiences. Apple Music and Roc Nation said 133.5 million people watched Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 performance. Early reports suggest Bad Bunny could beat that number.

Bad Bunny also broke a record before his performance. His press conference received 68 million views in just two days. It became the most watched Super Bowl press conference in NFL history.

Kid Rock wants to move on from the drama. He says the performance spoke for itself. The singer continues to stand by his version of events and pushes back against the critics.
