Kristin Cavallari is calling out a pattern she says keeps showing up on her Instagram.

Speaking on her podcast Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari, the former The Hills star shared her frustration with married men who interact with her on Instagram in subtle but telling ways.

In the March 24 episode, Cavallari came out clearly. She warned listeners about men who avoid public engagement but stay active behind the scenes. “The guys we really need to be careful of, ladies, are the married men who are liking every f***ing [Instagram Story], but not liking a feed post,” she said. “I have those men constantly, constantly. And those guys are trash.”

She said many of these men keep a low profile online. They don’t follow her. But they still show up. “I’ve got guys, and a lot of them are athletes,” Cavallari said. “They don’t follow me, by the way, either, but they’re verified and I see a lot of the verified activity. These guys are married.”

Private Actions, Public Concerns

Cavallari explained how Instagram works in a simple way. People can see likes and follows, but they cannot see replies to private stories. Only the person who posts the story can read those messages. She said this makes it easier for some people to act in ways their partners may never notice.

She also shared an example that caught her attention. A man, who had his wife’s photo as his profile picture, liked every story she posted. Cavallari said that kind of behavior is a clear red flag.

Still, she kept a balanced view, pointing people cannot control everything their partners do online. “We can’t have our men be living under a rock,” she said. “Guys are going to be inundated with hot women on a daily basis. It’s just the world that we’re living in.”

Cavallari pushed back on strict rules, telling someone not to follow certain accounts can backfire. “If you try to control your man, ‘You can’t follow her,’ he’s going to do it 10 times more than he wanted to,” she said.

But she drew a firm line when it comes to real-life connections. She said admiring celebrities differs from engaging with people you know. “If it’s some hot waitress from the bar downtown,” she said, “That’s a different story. Especially if he’s liking her photos. No, ‘I’m sorry. We’re not liking girls’ photos. It’s disrespectful to me.’ That’s what you say.”

New episodes of her podcast drop every Tuesday. Cavallari uses the show to talk openly about dating, relationships, and everyday life.
