The relationship between Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh has reportedly been strained for some time.

Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh have been one of the best quarterback-head coach tandems of the 21st century. The Ravens have gone to the postseason six times with the duo, going as far as the 2023 AFC Championship Game.

Despite their mostly successful eight-year partnership, however, a new report indicates that Jackson would prefer a change at head coach.

A Reddit user who wanted to remain anonymous claims to be the former girlfriend of a Ravens player. She claims to have been with the unnamed player for three years and shared one interesting tidbit of insider knowledge.

The woman claims that Jackson and the majority of Ravens players “have wanted Harbaugh fired for years.” She also claimed to have “overheard many calls” on it.

One of the moderators on the Ravens’ subreddit also says the woman DM’ed them proof:

Jackson was admittedly “ticked off” after Baltimore lost to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving. The Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with the winner taking sole possession of first place in the AFC North.

So, make of that as you will.

It’s been a tremendously frustrating season in Baltimore, to say the least. Lamar Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs and missed three games. Baltimore dropped two of three games without him.

Jackson was admittedly “ticked off” after Baltimore lost to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving. The Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with the winner taking sole possession of first place in the AFC North.

Who knows what Jackson really thinks about John Harbaugh. But winning usually cures everything in the NFL. If the Ravens can win the division and embark on a deep playoff run, there won’t be any question about the future of Harbaugh in Baltimore.
