Lamar Jackson’s Future In Doubt As NFL Insider Drops ‘Crazy’ Trade That Could Go Down This Offseason

Lamar Jackson’s future with the Baltimore Ravens has suddenly become a big question mark. Even with a win-or-go-home game against the Steelers coming up Sunday night, talk around the league is shifting toward what could happen after the season.
Jackson has been dealing with injuries at the worst time. He has fought through a hamstring issue for weeks and is now dealing with a back injury. That kept him out of Saturday night’s win over the Packers. His status for Sunday is still uncertain, and that has only added to the speculation.
That noise reached a new level this week. A report from The Athletic quoted a prominent agent who predicted chaos once the offseason arrives. “The biggest story of the offseason is going to be Lamar. That is going to be crazy,” the agent said. The report also cited an unnamed NFL executive who pointed to Jackson’s lack of an agent as a growing issue in his relationship with the Ravens.
Jackson’s Trade Rumors Grow

According to that executive, Jackson’s decision to represent himself has created problems behind the scenes. “The fact that Lamar does not have an agent is really a big negative,” the executive said. “Who is talking to Lamar? Who is having the honest conversations? Where is he getting advice in terms of how to deal with these injury things?”
The rumors do not end there. The Baltimore Sun reported that Ravens coach John Harbaugh has grown frustrated with Jackson. The report claimed Jackson has fallen asleep in team meetings after staying up late playing video games. It also said Jackson would be interested in a move to Miami, where he grew up.
Miami could soon be looking for a new quarterback. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel recently benched Tua Tagovailoa, even though the team gave him a $212 million contract just over a year ago. Many around the league believe Miami would explore other options if Jackson became available.
Money is another big factor. Jackson is set to earn $74.5 million next season, which would make him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. If the Ravens did trade him, they would likely demand at least two first-round draft picks in return.
For now, Harbaugh keeps the focus on Sunday. “It’s to be determined,” he said Monday. “He’s coming off a very serious injury and he’s working at it. I saw him here today working at it. I think we’ll know a lot more on Wednesday.”
If Jackson doesn’t play, the questions will only get louder. And if Baltimore exits early, this offseason could turn different.
