Lamar Jackson suffered a concerning left ankle injury during the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-18 victory over the Tennessee Titans. The two-time MVP quarterback went down on the very last offensive snap just before halftime.

Titans defensive end Jermaine Johnson II sacked him from behind, causing him to land heavily on his leg. Jackson limped off the field and spent the entire second half watching from the sideline.

Because of the score, the team elected to keep him out, which calmed the fears of Ravens fans. That calmness is now gone.

He was later spotted leaving M&T Bank Stadium wearing a protective walking boot on his left foot. Subsequently, medical testing revealed an eversion ankle sprain rather than a standard low or high sprain. Coach Jesse Minter noted the team is gathering information, but does not view it as long-term.

His idea of “long-term” differs from others’ because all signs point to him missing Sunday’s game.

Lamar Jackson remained absent from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice field on Thursday, October 8, 2026. ESPN reporter Jamison Hensley confirmed that the quarterback missed warmups due to his sprained left ankle.

This marks his second consecutive missed session following the injury he sustained against the Tennessee Titans. Consequently, his official status for this Sunday night’s road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons remains highly questionable.

Medical experts noted earlier that Jackson has just an outside chance of suiting up for Week 5. However, head coach Jesse Minter emphasized that an experienced veteran does not necessarily need to practice to start.

The coaching staff plans to monitor his progress through Friday before making a definitive decision on his availability. If the two-time MVP is ultimately ruled out, backup Tyler Huntley is fully prepared to take over.
