Las Vegas Raiders Send Loud & Clear Message To Other NFL Teams About Maxx Crosby Trade

The Las Vegas Raiders thought they had seen the last of Maxx Crosby, at least in their uniform. Turns out, they were wrong.
A move to the Baltimore Ravens fell through with the clock creeping up on the 11th hour in one of the more bizarre offseason scenarios we have ever seen.
There are now questions over where Crosby could end up following the failed move. One former NFL star has tipped him to join the Cincinnati Bengals, while odds on his next team have been of particular interest.
However, according to ProFootballTalk, he isn’t going anywhere, and the Raiders are letting everyone know.
The outlet adds that the team never wanted to trade Crosby, which is understandable. Of course, the two first-round picks would have made them feel a lot better. But, better the devil you know, right?
“Per a league source, the Raiders are currently telling teams that defensive end Maxx Crosby won’t be traded, in the aftermath of the failed effort to ship him to the Ravens for a pair of first-round picks,” PFT reports.
“The Raiders, we’re told, never wanted to trade him. He wanted out. Now that he’s back and has publicly recommitted to the Raiders, he’s staying put,” the publication adds.
Maxx Crosby Is Ready To Run It Back

Crosby has since broken his silence on the scuppered move, declaring his Raider-ness in a social media post.
“Everything Happens For A Reason. Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. Im A Raider. I’m Back. Run That Sh*t,” he wrote, adding an Undertaker GIF.
Crosby has four years left on his deal with Vegas. He’s set to make $29 million a year, and the Raiders will not expect any requests for improved terms, given the way things played out.
There’s also the meniscus tear, which he’s recovering from and is likely responsible for Baltimore’s cold feet.
The team can probably rest assured that there’ll be no noise coming from him over the next year, unless he proves he’s still the same game wrecker once he’s back healthy.
