When you’re a fan of a perennial losing team, the last thing you want to hear is about rising ticket prices. At some point, the team should be paying the fans to show up and watch their terrible product.

Unfortunately, because football is the number one sport in the country, it never stops owners from doing the unthinkable. Such is the case this year with the Miami Dolphins.

There are 2 winless teams remaining in the NFL right now, the Dolphins and the Chargers. Miami is 0-5 while the Chargers are 0-6. The Chargers are easily the most disappointing team since they have had success over the past few years.

However, at least they aren’t trying to raise ticket prices like the other franchise.

The Miami Dolphins are raising season-ticket prices by an average of 3% across the board for the 2027 NFL season. That is despite the team’s winless 0–5 start.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins will be raising season ticket prices “across the board in 2027.” The team attributes the increase to hosting nine regular-season games next season.

This year, they increased prices on none of the season tickets and even dropped prices on some of them. Per Jackson, some of them will be bumped a “bit more.”

“They need to actually start putting a good product on the field before insulting the fans by raising ticket prices,” one person said.

“They’ll pay it and every other price increase. Zero shame in that fan base supporting an incompetent owner collecting their money,” a second person wrote.

“Can the season already. The team is dead, a third person added.

“They’re adding an extra home game, but still,” one final fan commented.

In two home games this year, the Dolphins have averaged 58,719 in attendance. That ranks 31st in the league, ahead of only the Jaguars. That would be dead last if not for the Jags’ ongoing renovations, which have reduced their capacity.
