Los Angeles Rams Are Flying To Australia In The Biggest, Most Expensive Charter Jet Ever Built — This Thing Is Absolutely Insane [VIDEOS]

The Los Angeles Rams just rolled onto a flying mansion for the longest trip in franchise history. Raj Mathai caught wheels-up at LAX at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday. The charter is a Qantas Airbus A380, the largest passenger jet ever built.
Joe Pompliano quoted that clip and made the plane the story.
“The Rams are taking a Qantas Airbus A380 from Los Angeles to Melbourne.”
He called it the most expensive commercial airliner on earth.
The upper deck is packed with business lie-flats. There are enough of those beds for every player and some coaches. First class sits downstairs with fourteen suites. Economy still swallows most of the lower deck.
Then came the punchline.
“But those airplanes also don’t have wifi, which doesn’t sound ideal for 34 hours of flight time in 2-3 days.”

Qantas has not finished wiring the A380 fleet. That install slips into 2027.
Los Angeles Rams Get Lie-Flat Seats And A Dead Signal

Mathai’s video showed the double-decker leaving the gate.
“Wheels up. Rams depart LAX. 15 hour flight to Melbourne.”
They land Thursday morning and play Friday morning local time.

The Australia opener is the first regular-season NFL game on that continent. Netflix has Thursday night in the States. The plane is the part fans cannot stop quoting.
The 49ers took the same Qantas type a week earlier. San Francisco used the extra days to beat jet lag. The Rams packed the A380 late and treated it like a road bus.

That late landing already shifted Kickoff Night to Wednesday. Bosa and Kittle will be in uniform on the other sideline. The Rams arrive with Stafford and a cabin that cannot stream film.
Qantas stocked larger pyjamas for the 49ers charter. The Rams get the same flying kangaroo and the same dark cabin.
It is the biggest passenger plane in the sky. It has no Wi-Fi. Melbourne finds out Friday if that flying hotel was worth the blackout.
