WNBA star Rickea Jackson is not going to let James Pearce get away with what he did. Pearce was arrested for a domestic violence incident just days after appearing at the NFL Honors ceremony. He was a Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist.

Pearce went from that to facing multiple felony charges, where footage showed cops piling on him to arrest him. He is facing aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking, after allegedly intentionally crashing into Jackson’s car. His behavior came as a result of her ending their three-year relationship. He was also accused of striking a police officer with his vehicle as he attempted to evade arrest.

Per the court records, Jackson told police that Pearce followed her in his car and rammed into her vehicle when she tried to enter the Doral Police Department. That was a frightening enough situation to prompt her to reach a conclusion.

Atlanta Falcons rookie defensive star James Pearce might be seriously facing some real prison time. Sparks forward Rickea Jackson is “willing to testify” against him in his felony battery case, according to new court documents.

Jackson’s attorneys filed a court notice Tuesday in Miami-Dade County. She is willing to go through with it if the domestic violence charges against him go to trial, according to ESPN. Jackson’s lawyers wrote that the WNBA star “remains cooperative and willing to testify at trial, if one is necessary.”

“The victim is pleading with the Court and the State to conclude this matter promptly without hindering the efficacy of the prosecution’s case,” the attorneys wrote.

The 2025 first-round NFL draft pick’s legal team said after he was released from jail on Feb. 9 that the football player “maintains his innocence.”

James Pearce completed his rookie year with the Atlanta Falcons in 2025, recording a team-high 10½ sacks over 17 games. He finished third in the Defensive Rookie of the Year vote.
