Max Kellerman Goes Off On Media Over Dianna Russini & Mike Vrabel Drama

Former ESPN personality Max Kellerman is enraged with the media over their excessive coverage of the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel controversy.
Somehow, Dianna Russini and the head coach of the New England Patriots found a way to become the NFL’s top story over the past month. And this was in the midst of the 2026 NFL Draft, for crying out loud.
Last month, photos surfaced of Russini and Vrabel embracing and holding hands at an adults-only hotel in Sedona, Arizona. Russini and Vrabel, both married, denied any wrongdoing. But Russini wound up announcing her resignation as an NFL insider at The Athletic, and Vrabel attended counseling during day three of the NFL Draft.
Recently, new photos surfaced of Russini and Vrabel kissing at a New York City bar in March 2020. At the time, he was coaching the Tennessee Titans.
Max Kellerman Slams Media For Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel Coverage

During the latest episode of his “Game Over” podcast (h/t Awful Announcing), Kellerman ripped the media for excessively covering the Vrabel-Russini scandal.
Kellerman expressed frustration that he’s unable to “avoid” it. He also questioned why the media would churn out story after story on Vrabel and Russini without thinking about their respective families:
“The three percent of the teams she covers, there’s some kind of bias that might show up, who knows how, but whatever. Ok. I’m willing to say that’s true, that’s legitimate. But that’s not why people are covering this story. They’re using that as a bull—- excuse to be titilated by an affair.
It’s so disgusting to me because, especially the latest. It comes across my reels, and I’ve worked with Dianna Russini, I haven’t worked with Mike Vrabel. But it’s on my reels so I can’t avoid it. And there’s pictures and the press is trying to create a timeline where when they might have been cheating.
So without regard to how this affects their spouses, their children, they’re putting these families through hell under the guise of journalistic integrity and ethics where in fact that is just an excuse to put out salacious stuff. Shame on the media for covering it the way they are.”

It’s not that rare to hear stories about celebrities and people in power having affairs. but this Russini-Vrabel scandal is truly something else. Russini and Vrabel have both jeopardized their marriages and largely tarnished their own public images. And they hardly put in efforts to “hide” their relationship from the media.
With the media digging up more and more instances of those two hanging out together? Russini and Vrabel were essentially asking to be caught.
