Maxx Crosby Breaks His Silence After Getting Traded To The Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens made one of the biggest moves of the offseason by trading for star defensive end Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Baltimore gave up a lot to make the deal, sending two first-round picks to Las Vegas. Even so, the Ravens believe Crosby can help the team compete for a Super Bowl again.
Crosby first made his name with the Raiders after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He quickly became one of the NFL’s top defensive linemen, earning five straight Pro Bowl selections and All-Pro Second Team honors in 2021 and 2023.
His departure from Las Vegas did not completely surprise people. In recent seasons, his relationship with the team had started to decline. The situation became worse late in the 2025 season when the Raiders shut him down while the team was trying to secure the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Crosby Is Ready For A New Chapter In Baltimore

Despite the rocky ending, Crosby appears excited about the next step of his career. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the star defender welcomes the opportunity to join a more stable team.
“Crosby is giddy that he gets to play for a team that has only had two losing seasons and has won three playoff games during his seven years in the league,” Tafur reported.

Crosby spent his entire career with the Raiders before this trade. During that time, he was often the prime player on the team’s defense. However, the team struggled to build a consistently strong team around him. After securing the top pick in the draft, the team decided to start a rebuild and is expected to select Fernando Mendoza in the 2026 NFL Draft.
For the Baltimore Ravens, the trade solves an important problem. The team has struggled in recent seasons to put steady pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and Crosby is known for doing exactly that.
Baltimore started the 2025 season with hopes of reaching the Super Bowl but ended up missing the playoffs. After the season, the team quickly began making changes. The Ravens adjusted parts of their coaching staff and looked for players who could make a big impact.
Crosby is now a crucial part of that plan.
The Ravens still have other decisions to make as free agency gets closer. The future of center Tyler Linderbaum is still uncertain if he becomes a free agent.
Even so, Crosby’s arrival has already raised expectations in Baltimore. The team believes the star pass rusher can improve the defense right away and help them compete for a championship in 2026.
