Maxx Crosby Just Walked Out On The Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is no longer with the team, at least for the time being.
According to FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer, the Pro Bowl defensive end walked out on the AFC West outfit because they want him to sit out the remainder of the season.
The Raiders play the New York Giants in Week 17 action on Sunday. Both Teams hold 2-13 records and have nothing left to play for, save the draft order. As such, the Raiders are said to have told the player that they want to shut him down for the last two games of the season.
Glazer noted that Crosby was not in agreement with the team over this and “left the building.”
“Scoopage: Raiders told Maxx Crosby they want to shut him down last two games. Crosby, who has played with injuries for much of the year, vehemently disagreed and has left the building @nflonfox has learned. This could lead to questions on his future in Vegas.”

Is Maxx Crosby Going To Lose Money By Sitting Out?

Fans were concerned about potential losses in bonus money following Glazer’s report. It’s believed that there are appearance incentives attached to his contract.
“Crosby and tanking are not something that mixes well…and who knows what bonuses are coming up for him. That being said I hope he doesn’t play 😆,” one wrote.

“Any incentives or bonuses he could miss out on? If so, players association is going to get involved,” another suggested.

Crosby’s name came up in trade rumors earlier this year, but Vegas opted to stick with him despite the haul of picks a trade presented.
While he has his foibles and could be inclined to teammate fights, no one can accuse Maxx Crosby of holding back on the field. He gives maximum effort every game and clearly wants to continue playing despite his team’s shoddy record.
Will this reported rift spell the end of his time in Vegas? Time will tell.
