Raiders star DE Maxx Crosby hints that he may be getting traded to a top NFC team this offseason.

March 9 is the beginning of the NFL’s legal negotiating window, with NFL free agency kicking off on March 11. Several star players could be available on the trade market, and that includes Crosby. Since the end of the 2025 season, Crosby has found himself in heavy trade rumors after a souring of the relationship with the franchise.

Crosby being placed on the reserve/injured list caused him to storm out of the building. The incident occurred amid speculation that the 2-13 Raiders were looking to secure a high draft pick. If the Las Vegas Raiders opted to move the superstar edge rusher as expected, where could Crosby land?

Well, it seems Maxx Crosby knows where he wants to go.

The name at the top of every Dallas fan’s wish list is Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby. His presence could change everything for the team. Crosby is the biggest name this offseason, rumored to be on the trade market, and speculation that way has been all over the place.

He fueled even more speculation when he took to Instagram and hinted at being traded to the Cowboys. Crosby posted on his Instagram story a song from Shaboozey, with the lyrics of, “I’m a lone-ass Cowboy stuck in my jeans.”

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the Dallas Cowboys could be the “best positioned” team to land him. Dallas is looking to upgrade its defense across the board after trading Micah Parsons to the Packers.

Crosby is certainly the top name on the market, with competition from another NFC team.

“Multiple sources indicate the Chicago Bears are a team to watch in potentially dealing for Crosby,” Jones said.

“The Bears aren’t the only team with interest in Crosby — the Dallas Cowboys are lurking, according to sources — but they could be best positioned to do a deal if one can be done. The new league year begins March 11.”

Dallas would need to send multiple draft picks in order to pull this off. Crosby turns 29 years old in August and is signed through the 2029 season. The Raiders have the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft and are expected to take the team’s quarterback of the future in Fernando Mendoza.
