One of the most memorable things about Miami’s run to the College Football Playoff national championship game has been Michael Irvin. He has been at every game and is going nuts on the sidelines.

Unfortunately, his behavior tends to ruin good shots for cameramen along the sidelines. Such was the case earlier this month at the Fiesta Bowl. Videos showing him celebrating victories have been a trademark of the Hurricanes’ College Football Playoff run.

Carson Beck scored the game-winning touchdown on a 3-yard scramble with 18 seconds left in the CFP Semifinal Fiesta Bowl. Michael Irvin positioned himself in the perfect spot to see it. As Beck ran towards the end zone, Irvin moved from his position behind the cameramen. He unfortunately stood right in front of them to celebrate and took their perfect shot away.

Irvin has been such a ball of energy that even SNL had to spoof him. SNL’s Weekend Update focused on the Cowboys icon’s sideline celebrations.

With the Miami Hurricanes playing in the College Football Playoff National Championship, expect to see plenty of Michael Irvin. His face will be seen, and his voice will be heard. Well, the Miami alum and Cowboys icon got a head start on the hype Saturday night.

Saturday Night Live cast member Kam Patterson had the perfect spot-on spoof of the three-time Super Bowl winner. It came during a “Weekend Update” cameo alongside anchor Michael Che.

Miami’s back was against the wall. They will certainly need the good vibes from Michael Irvin in order to defeat Indiana. The Miami Hurricanes will face the winner of No. 1 Indiana and No. 5 Oregon on Jan. 19. It will be in their own backyard at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Hoosiers are 8.5-point favorites, per CBS Sports.
