Myles Garrett Gets Shipped To New York In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Would Send Shockwaves Across The NFL

The New York Jets had one of the worst defenses in the 2025 NFL season, comparable to the Dallas Cowboys’. The AFC East team couldn’t find a footing and posted a 3-14 record in Aaron Glenn’s first season as head coach.
The Justin Fields experiment didn’t work out, and the Jets will likely be in the market for a new starting quarterback. Meanwhile, their defense isn’t in the best place, either, much less after they traded defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys and cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts.
New York has a lot of questions to address in the offseason. With the projected No. 2 player in the 2026 NFL draft, Dante Moore, returning to the Oregon Ducks, they have one more issue to solve. Their pass rushing struggled all season long, but they could change everything with a blockbuster trade.
New York Jets Trade For Myles Garrett In Blockbuster Trade Idea

Sportsnaut’s Jason Burgos suggested that the New York Jets trade for the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns. The Jets would get Garrett and the No. 6 overall pick in this year’s draft. As for the Browns, they would receive the 2026 No. 2 overall pick and 2026 No. 16 overall pick; a 2027 first rounder, 2027 third rounder and 2027 fourth rounder.
Burgos noted that the Browns’ urgency to land a new quarterback could open the door for the Jets.
“There have long been rumblings about a Myles Garrett trade. Could the second and sixteenth picks this year, and a first, third, and fourth in 2027, be enough to land him and get Cleveland’s pick at six? Maybe. It would give New York the best pass rusher in the game after trading two defensive Pro Bowlers in October, and the chance to take an elite QB or a top six player in April,” Burgos wrote.
Another Browns player was linked with the Jets, quarterback Bailey Zappe. However, adding Garrett to the roster would go a long way.
