New Dolphins Coach Accidentally Spills The Beans On De’Von Achane’s Secret Injury That’s Suddenly a Big Concern

After months of rumors and speculation about his future, De’Von Achane and the Miami Dolphins agreed to a contract extension that will see the running back make $64 million.
Achane was linked with several teams earlier this offseason. The Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos were all mentioned as potential landing spots for the player.
In the end, he stayed put in Miami, ready to help new coach Jeff Hafley create something big at Hard Rock Stadium. After parting ways with Mike McDaniel, Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill, the Dolphins won’t enter the 2026 season with high expectations.
Kevin Patullo Makes Concerning Comments About De’Von Achane

Achane could be another source of concern for the Dolphins. New offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo spoke about the 24-year-old, praising his ability, but also casting a cloud of doubt over his health.
“What a dynamic player he is,” Patullo told reporters at the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp. “When you watch a guy like that get on the field, it’ll really be impressive because there are so many different things he did. He lined up as a receiver, a true running back. He’s so dynamic. So it’s gonna be really exciting to get him out there once he’s healthy and ready to roll.”

The Dolphins already have a limited offense. Not having Achane out there would be deadly.
