New England Patriots defensive tackle Leonard Taylor stepped up during a key moment for his team on Sunday. Then he stamped it with a “no Diddy” comment that went viral immediately.

Taylor got a hand on a potential game-tying kick from the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game, helping the Pats seal the deal.

The block came with just under five minutes to go in a frustrating contest that saw offenses stalled by a blizzard. But who knows which direction things would have gone in had Leonard not tipped that ball?

The undrafted prospect has played a huge role in helping the Patriots reach their first Super Bowl since the Tom Brady era. And, as you might imagine, he was pretty excited after the win.

Taylor spoke to reporters in the locker room after the on-field festivities, explaining the important play.

“I jumped up and got a taste of the ball — no Diddy,” he said.

Check him out in the clip below:

The comment set things off on X.

“patriots PR watching this clip,” one fan noted along with a GIF.

“Why was my guy so quick with that “no diddy” 😂😂☠️☠️💀,” one fan asked.

“He had to say it. If he didn’t, he gets clowned quickly. But since he called it before anyone else did, it’s a free pass. Lucky……well played,” someone else pointed out.

Leonard Taylor: An Unlikely Hero

Taylor’s rise to prominence has been wild. Undrafted out of Miami in 2024, the New York Jets cut him earlier in the season after their 0-6 start.

He played just 16 defensive snaps on Sunday. He got another four on special teams, which is where he did the most damage.

You could say quite literally singlehandedly saved NE’s season, although Jarrett Stidham has laid the blame elsewhere

Mike Vrabel might not be looking forward to winning now that they’re on the doorstep, however.
