President Donald Trump may be in the house for Super Bowl 60, after all.

Last week, Donald Trump said he’d miss the Super Bowl because it’s “too far away.” A year ago, he became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, with the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will clash at Levi’s Stadium, home of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, in Santa Clara. Interestingly, a new report indicates that Trump might have changed his mind.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, journalist Emily Austin said she had a scoop: Trump will actually attend Super Bowl 60 on Sunday.

“Trump is going. Mark my words, he’s going. A little birdie at the ‘Melania’ premiere might have told me. That little birdie is very close to the president and he will be going as well. And if the president doesn’t go, he’ll be going,”

The 79-year-old Trump has also been heavily critical of the NFL’s decision to have Bad Bunny headline the halftime show. Bad Bunny called out the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the Grammys on Sunday, saying, “ICE OUT.”

We’ll find out soon enough if Trump is actually going to the Super Bowl.

Donald Trump Has Close Ties With Patriots Owner Robert Kraft

Trump is popular among NFL owners, but he’s especially close with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Trump is also close friends with Patriots legend Tom Brady, often praising the seven-time Super Bowl champion during his first presidential term.

So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Trump ultimately decided to watch the Super Bowl and cheer on his close friend. Though Kraft has been critical of Trump at times, he donated $1 million to the president’s 2017 inauguration.

Kraft has claimed that he stopped talking to Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Of course, that would all change if the Patriots win the Super Bowl and meet Donald Trump at the White House.
