The San Francisco 49ers have the most registered Republican voters, a new study reveals.

San Francisco is one of the most liberal cities in the United States. In fact, the city has voted Democratic in every United States presidential election since 1960. Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower won San Francisco over Democratic nominee Adlai Stevenson II, en route to an easy victory in the election.

But in terms of players who are registered Republican voters? The San Francisco 49ers lead all NFL teams, according to a new study.

VoteHub used voter file data and public information to find out the percentage of Republican, Democratic and independent voters from all 32 NFL teams. The 49ers are tops, with a partisan lean of +13.6 for the Republican Party.

For what it’s worth, the Green Bay Packers have the most Democratic voters with a +38.9 partisan lean.

We know that 49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa is a Donald Trump supporter. But other than that, notable San Francisco players in the Kyle Shanahan era have kept their political beliefs to themselves.

For the 2024 presidential election, Trump got endorsements from Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker, veteran backup quarterback Gardner Minshew II, , Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins.

But most NFL players decide not to share their political beliefs with the public. Kansas City quarterback Patrick remained tight-lipped and encouraged Americans to simply vote for what was best for them.

Trump is also popular among NFL owners. The president has received political donations from Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), Shad Khan (Jacksonville Jaguars), Jimmy Haslam (Cleveland Browns), Woody Johnson (New York Jets), the Glazer family (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and the McNair family (Houston Texans).
