A new slo-mo video shows the exact moment when Amon-Ra St. Brown bent his ankle awkwardly during the Detroit Lions’ home game against the Green Bay Packers, and it certainly looks bad.
Amon-Ra St. Brown was injured in the first quarter of Thursday’s pivotal clash after hurting his ankle on a run-blocking play. One of St. Brown’s teammates accidentally collided with him as he was finishing a block, and he immediately headed to the locker room:

This new slo-mo video shows the exact moment when St. Brown’s ankle bent:
Amon-Ra St. Brown –
Left foot/ankle was in a spot where there’d be concern of a high ankle as the OL rolled up on him.
Could also be knee or back, but seems more lower extremity.
We’ll see if he’s able to return but immediate visit to the locker room isn’t a great sign. pic.twitter.com/IW78gtxum5— Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) November 27, 2025
The Lions announced that St. Brown was questionable to return with an ankle injury. He had been targeted once by Jared Goff before leaving the game.
Detroit is already without star tight end Sam LaPorta, who’s expected to miss the remainder of the 2025 season with a back injury. If St. Brown misses extended time, it’ll be another major blow to Detroit’s playoff hopes.
We’ll have more information on St. Brown’s injury status when it becomes available. Let’s hope he avoided a serious injury.
